Product Overview

Tyco Electronics MULTIGIG RT product is a backplane interconnect family offering flexibility and customization. This printed circuit-based, pinless interconnect family comprises modular components usable in various combinations. It provides 10 Gbps performance with differential, single-ended, and power capabilities. Key features include a customizable impedance-matched printed circuit wafer interface, a backplane connector system with a pinless interface, superior crosstalk performance, and optimized footprints for signal integrity and ease of board design. It utilizes a 0.56 [.022] diameter via for the backplane connector, reducing board fabrication costs. The system offers three levels of signal contact sequencing and a modular connector system, available for 20.30 [.800] or 25.40 [1.00] card pitch systems. The complete connector family includes power modules, guidance modules, and planned cable assemblies.
